Your alarm system reads the Code Encryptor II as another expansion board on the data bus. When you connect the Code Encryptor II to your alarm system, it will automatically recognize your alarm system and program itself accordingly! Mount the unit next to your alarm system's controller board and it will draw all of the power it needs directly from the alarm system. The unit can operate in temperatures from -5° F to 140° F, so you can mount it virtually anywhere! The Encryptor II comes with an LED plate, which allows you to check the status of your alarm system from a remote location, like the garage.
